One of the most notable works of the English writer, Nobel Laureate in Literature Rudyard Kipling was first published in 1894.
The collection of stories about the `human child` Mowgli and his friends that has captivated the hearts of millions of readers of all continents, is now translated into dozens of languages and has about 20 adaptations. Mowgli, Baloo, Bagira and Shere Khan come to life on the pages of the Adventure Library book thanks to incredible illustrations by Quentin Greban. The story turns into an amazing film, which from the first page invites the reader to the world where their rules and laws rule, to the unique world of the jungle!
About Authors
Sir Joseph Rudyard Kipling, an English writer, poet and novelist, Nobel Prize winner (1907), was born in 1865 (December 30) in Bombay, India.
The 1990s was the brightest decade in Kipling's creativity. It began with the publication of the first novel, `The Light That Failed` (1891). In 1892, Kipling left England for a long time. The news of the death of his friend, the American Charles Wolcott Balestier, who co-authored the adventure novel `The Naulahka`, interrupted Rudyard's journey. He married the deceased's sister, Carolina, and moved to Vermont. In America, he wrote his famous `The Jungle Book` (1895). Kipling was well acquainted with Indian folklore and found materials from the deep treasury of native tales and legends. In addition, the author himself created his own folklore and myths about India. He was concerned about the problems of nature and civilization, about the place of man on Earth, which he tried to solve in an unconventional way. At the beginning of 1936, Rudyard Kipling died. But his wonderful works remain. The works that glorify courage, bravery, will, friendship, reveal to the reader the magical world of untouched nature. His works brought him fame as one of the best animalistic writers in world literature.
Quentin Greban is a famous Belgian illustrator. The artist was born in 1977. He began his path with creating comics and humorous illustrations, and from the age of 18 he was fond of illustrating books. In an interview, Quentin admitted that he was particularly influenced by the films of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Tim Burton, as well as paintings by Alphonse Mucha. The first book with his illustrations was published in 1999, and a year later he won the prestigious award - The Saint-Exupery Award for a series of illustrations. Also for several years his paintings were recognized as the best at the Bologna Book Fair. Quentin Greban has his own unique style, in addition, he is able to `bring` stories closer to children, to make famous stories not only understandable but also close to young readers. Quentin Greban has illustrated more than 50 books that have been translated into many languages. Each new book of this ordinary magician is a gift to all the fans of his creativity and a certain mark of quality. There are still many meetings with the heroes of his books. The secret of his success is very simple: genuine kindness, a child's way of looking at the world and unrestrained imagination.

Це класична історія, яку всі знають (чого варті численні екранізації), але далеко не всі читали. Книга не лише про хлопчика, що виріс з вовками, як головного героя, а й про дикі джунглі, де у кожного свої правила: вовки не зраджують зграю, удави говорять загадками, а люди… ну, люди не завжди розуміють, як влаштований цей світ. Я в дитинстві завжди любила Багіру за його силу та розум, трохи побоювалася Каа, а Шерхан… ну, він викликає не стільки страх, скільки роздратування. Фантастичне оформлення цієї книги припало мені до душі і моїй дитині також (хотілось замінити своє стареньке видання не скороченою історією, не переказом мультфільма, а саме такою книгою з оригінальною історією).
Класика для дітей, а ілюстрації просто фантастичні. Це пригоди хлопчика з джунглів, який зростав серед звірів, навчався в них та щиро любив оточуючий його світ. Це оповідання про рідну зграю вовків, які замінили хлопчику батьків, про сильного ведмедя Балу, кмітливу пантеру Багіру, що стали йому друзями і захисниками, про могутнього тигра Шер-Хана, який більше за все бажає позбутися хлопчини. «Книга джунглів» не дає засумувати, а почавши читати твір, неможливо від нього відірватись.
"Книга Джунглів" - це класика, яку варто прочитати кожному. У простій та легендарній історії, поміж рядків можна прочитати важливі моральні цінності, які автор хоче передати і навчити їм маленьких та великих читачів. ⠀ Гадаю сюжет книги знає кожен, але все ж трохи розповім про нього. Це збірка оповідань про "людського дитинчати" Мауглі, вирощеного зграєю вовків та його лісних друзів, ведмедя Балу, пантеру Багіру та одвічного ворога Мауглі тигра Шер-Хана. ⠀ Усі ці оповіді заворожують, здавалося, що з цієї теми можна взяти цікавого, але Редьярд Кіплінґ дивує нас знову і знову! Та ще й ці прекрасні авторські ілюстрації від самого видавництва посилюють цікавість читання і просто дарують насолоду! ⠀ Хочеться подякувати видавництву за таке атмосферне видання, адже Читаючи я отримувала одне задоволення! ⠀ О, а ще забула додати, що є екранізація на цю книгу. У 2016 році на екранах з'явився чудовий фентезі фільм від Джона Фавро, фільм знятий по мотивам Книги Джунглів і є неймовірно красивим! Я подивилася і залишилася в захваті ???????? А сама книга вперше була опублікована в 1894 році, а в 1907 номінувалася на Нобелівську премію, і Кіплінг став наймолодшим лауреатом Нобелівської премії)
Книга - справжня подорож у серце дикої природи, яка сповнена пригод, дружби та захопливих уроків! Історія Мауглі, хлопчика, вихованого вовками, не просто захоплює, а буквально переносить у джунглі, де кожен крок — це виклик і відкриття. Дякую Вам за чудові ілюстрації. Кожен персонаж — від мудрого Балу до хитромудрого Багіри — оживає на сторінках із такою яскравістю, що здається, ти сам стаєш частиною цієї неймовірної зграї. А Шер Хан? Ну, він ідеальний лиходій, якого ти водночас боїшся і поважаєш. Це видання вражає ілюстраціями та подачею тексту — ніби джунглі розгортаються просто перед тобою. Читання приносить море задоволення, адже тут є все: сміх, тривога, моменти тріумфу і навіть трохи смутку. "Книга джунглів" — це більше, ніж просто історія. Це нагадування про важливість сім’ї, дружби і вміння знаходити своє місце у світі, навіть якщо ти трохи "не такий, як усі". І як же добре, що це видання дозволяє пережити цю казкову пригоду знову й знову!
